Nigeria Senate begins Eight Weeks Reccess, Scheduled to Resume September 15
The Nigeria Senate announced on thursday that it has adjourned plenary till Sepember 15, so says the President of the Nigeria Senate, Ahmed Lawan. He also stated that the various comittee of the Senate will be working during the recess period.
He ensure those Senators in the petroleum and gas sector to expedite action on the Petroleum Industry Bill. The Senate plans to romance with the Senate to ensure the bill is no more rejected by the Executive.

Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen's said he was jailed because of his book
Michael Cohen was released after being jailed for about three years for matters including TRump's campaign financial violation.
Cohen sued the United State Attorney General William Barr and the Prison,s burea Director over the "Gag Order".
The 53-year-old is scheduled to be released home this afternoon, local time, from the Otisville federal prison following a Covid-19 test.
"Today's important ruling recognises that individuals retain their right to speak even when they are incarcerated," said ACLU attorney Vera Eidelman.
Michael Cohen has been jailed a year of his three-year sentence.
The former fixer admitted to lying to Congress about a Trump Tower project in Moscow, and to campaign finance violations for his role in making hush money payments to women alleging affairs with Mr Trump. He also admitted to other tax and bank fraud charges unrelated to the president.

Jegede wins Ondo Pdp primaries

Festus Keyamo will be in charge of 774,000 jobs says Labour ministry

Federal Government of Nigeria releases envidence of SUKUK fund utilized in developing Nigeria roads
The federal government of Nigeria in his transparency drive, releases photos of the progress made so far in the use of the 162.5 billion naira SUKUK fund.
The sum of N162bn was recently approved to be disbursed across the six geopolitical zones for roads construction. “This N162bn completes cash settlement for all capital road expenditures in 2020 budget. North Central: 8 roads, North East: 8 roads, North West: 7 roads, South East: 5 roads, South South: 10 roads, South West: 6 roads.’’

NDDC MD, Pondei, ‘Slumps’ During Reps Committee’s Interrogation
The acting managing director of the Niger-deltan Development Commission, Daniel Pondei, was interrogated by the Nigerian House of Representative committee on Niger-delta. This is the fourth hearing of the committee on financial misappropriation in the comission.
Daniel Pondei fainted in his chair while he was interrogated for over an hour, those present at the hearing tried to resuscitate him. After he regained composure, the hearing was terminated and commitee members vowed not to call him up for interrogation again.

Buhari Mourns, Funtua, Dies at 78
President Buhari regreted the loss of his friend who was a media, business leader, he died at the age of 78. Malam Isma’ila Isa Funtua, who was Life Patron of International Press Institute and Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN).
Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari's senior special assistant on Media and Publicity, said yesterday.

Former Edo government Adams Oshiomhole yesterday arrived Edo State after he was removed from the chairmanship position of the All Progressive Congress Party, which is Nigeria biggest political party. He ruled Edo state for two term and brought about development in the south- south state of Nigeria.
Oshiomhole just returned back to his home state from Abuja, where crowd of supported cheered him, welcoming him back to Edo politics. There he thanked the youths for their support, he apologized for passing some crowd of supporters behind at the Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, saying that he never wanted to disturb any one that night because he cared about their safety.
The comrade governor, as he is mainly knowned for during his days as the governor of the state encouraged his supporters not to relent their support for him and his party, the All Progressive Congress, criticizing the present Governor, Godwin Obaseki, calling him an 'M.O.U' governor, accusing him of neglecting his development strives.
