Ekeinde is a Nigerian actress, singer and philanthropist and one of the icons in the Nigerian Nollywood industry.

She is the first African celebrity to receive over one million likes on her Facebook page.

She currently has a total of three million followers on Facebook.

Beyond her show business accomplishments, she is also applauded for her remarkable humanitarian efforts.

 

#BBNaija: Uti Nwachukwu apologizes to Laycon

 

Nollywood actor and winner of Big Brother Africa Season 5 reality TV show, Uti Nwachukwu, has apologized to 2020 Big Brother Naija Lockdown housemate, Laycon, for his wrong comments towards him.

Utti stated on Friday on his Twitter handle that Laycon is not on the same level as female housemate, Erica, yet, it appears Erica has put “jazz” on him.

His tweet elicited backlash from other Twitter users, especially fans of Laycon.

However, the reality star apologized on his Twitter handle saying that he got carried away.

He wrote: “OK, I got a little carried away watching #Bbnaija guys. What I said really wasn’t cool, and I acknowledge it so it’s deleted.

“Just a little reminder to all of us to remember that even though it’s a show, they’re real people. So make una no vess #BBNaijialockdown2020.”

Laycon and Erica have been in a love entanglement since the start of the show.

Lebanon Blast: Frantic Search For Survivors of Deadly Explosion

Rescue workers in Lebanon are searching for more than a hundred people who are missing after a huge explosion devastated the port area of the capital Beirut on Tuesday. At least 100 people and injured more than 4,000 others in the blast.

President Michel Aoun said the blast was caused by 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate stored unsafely in a warehouse. Ammonium nitrate is used as a fertiliser in agriculture and as an explosive.



He scheduled an urgent cabinet meeting for Wednesday, and said a two-week state of emergency should be declared.
The country will observe an official period of mourning for three days from Wednesday.


The blast was also felt 240km (150 miles) away on the island of Cyprus, in the eastern Mediterranean, with people there saying they thought it was an earthquake.
BBC journalist Rami Ruhayem said there was chaos in the aftermath of the blast as ambulances with their sirens wailing inched their way through heavy traffic to get to the site. "Shards of glass blanketed the highway leading into Beirut from the north, as a tractor cleared the rubble."
